Nucleon axial charge from quenched lattice QCD with domain wall fermions and DBW2 gauge action

چکیده
The domain wall fermion (DWF) method, with its almost perfectly preserved chiral symmetry on the lattice, makes the calculation of the nucleon axial charge particularly easy. By maintaining chiral symmetry and using the Ward-Takahashi (WT) identity, one has ZA = ZV and the bare lattice calculation yields the physical value without explicit renormalization. The DBW2 improved gauge action provides further enhancement of the symmetry and hence a more accurate WT identity at coarse lattice spacing. Taking advantage of these methods, we confirmed a significant volume dependence of the nucleon axial charge on (1.2fm) and (2.4fm) lattice volumes.

Nucleon axial charge from quenched lattice QCD with domain wall fermions
Abstract We present a quenched lattice calculation of the nucleon isovector vector and axial-vector charges g V and g A . The chiral symmetry of domain wall fermions makes the calculation of the nucleon axial charge particularly easy since the Ward-Takahashi identity requires the vector and axialvector currents to have the same renormalization, up to lattice spacing errors of order O(a2). The D...
متن کاملNucleon axial charge and structure functions with domain wall fermions
Domain wall fermions (DWF) [1] have been successfully used by the RBC Collaboration for several applications [2]. In the baryon sector we had reported that DWF with Wilson gauge action in the quenched approximation can reproduce the first negative-parity excited state of nucleon [3] which defied theoretical attempts for a long time. Here we report the current status of our calculations on the n...
متن کاملNucleon form factors from quenched lattice QCD with domain wall fermions
We present a quenched lattice calculation of the weak nucleon form factors: vector (FV (q )), induced tensor (FT (q )), axial-vector (FA(q )) and induced pseudo-scalar (FP (q )) form factors. Our simulations are performed on three different lattice sizes L × T = 24 × 32, 16 × 32 and 12 × 32 with a lattice cutoff of a ≈ 1.3 GeV and light quark masses down to about 1/4 the strange quark mass (mπ ...

In our previous DWF calculation with the Wilson gauge action at β = 6.0 (a ≃ 1.9 GeV) on a 16 × 32× 16 lattice, we found that g A had a fairly strong dependence on the quark mass. A simple linear extrapolation of g A to the chiral limit yielded a value that was almost a factor of two smaller than the experimental one. Here we report our recent study of this issue. In particular, we investigate ...
متن کاملLight quark masses from Domain Wall Fermions
We present results for the renormalised light and strange quark masses calculated using Domain Wall Fermions in quenched QCD. New results using the DBW2 gauge action at a ≈ 2GeV and a ≈ 1.3GeV will be presented and compared against existing results at a ≈ 2GeV using the Wilson gauge action. This comparison allows a study of the uncertainties due to both finite lattice spacing and residual chira...
